19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE CAST IRON ROUND WHEEL BOOK BINDING PRESS 21" X 12" X 19.75"
This comes with and will be shipped in a very sturdy, completely-enclosed, wooden crate, I personally built to store and ship the press.
This a nice, working antique book press.  I do not know who manufactured it.  Someone more versed in antique presses might be able to id it from what's left of the red and gold circular logo.
It obviously has its original paint which shows lots of wear.  The 2 bolts securing the press plate are not original but do serve their purpose.  There is significant rust on underside of base but no corrosive damage as a result.  The wheel spins freely to raise and lower the press plate.
The dimensions are as follows:
Overall height when press is raised to maximum height = 18-3/4"
Height when press is lowered to the bed = 15"
Overall width of base = 21"
Overall depth of base = 12"
Width of plate = 16"
Depth of plate = 11"
So, it is safe to assume that a 16" x 11" x 3-1/2" book could easily fit and be properly pressed and bound using this press.
Due to the fact that this is an antique and weighs 90 pounds, I cannot accept returns and must sell AS-IS.  Of course,  I do guarantee the press to be as I have described it.
If you live on the west coast, I will reduce the shipping cost (by at least a and possibly as much as ).
I also strongly welcome and encourage you to pick the press up at my home and avoid the 0.00 shipping fee. If you opt for shipping, I guarantee it will be properly packed and shipped with care (and full insurance).
