  • Condition: FULL LISTING has 45 PHOTOS of this item. If viewing on a phone/tablet you need to manually navigate to the FULL LISTING (tap "read more" or "item description" etc). Sold for parts, assumed unplayable. Two of the valves are stuck inside the tubes (one is jammed and looks bent, the center one is wobbly and unconnected). There is a maker mark stamp on the end of the tube where the mouthpiece is inserted, the mouthpiece also has maker markings. The only thing I see clearly is the word Professional on the mouthpiece, below that on the mouthpiece is something stamped like HWT&Co, on the fitting for the mouthpiece there is a partial stamp, it looks something like "FLOWART" and there is a group of letters stamped above (curved), but nothing is legible. The valves are stamped 103,104,and 105 and below the 104 is a 13. There is a 104 stamped on the sliding section. I don't see any other markings, no signs of a worn engraving or stamp. The bell is 10.5". ....continued in FULL LISTING

--- Sold for parts, assumed unplayable. The "height" from the bell edge to the top of the keys is 16.5" or close.  The inside of the mouthpiece is wrapped in tape and looks like the end is chipped and damaged.  There are three other slide out sections, the small ones below/side of the valves, I just checked and they both slide out easily and look fine (I pulled them out).  Note that the larger side slide section does not go all the way in.  The way you see it in the photos is as far as it will go.  I've never played a french horn and I'm not an expert on brass but have sold many instruments over the years.  I don't see cracks, the support near the mouthpiece fitting looks repaired/soldered, there may be other things I don't see, so sold for parts or repair as shown.  There is denting, the bell has a lot of denting.  No case but will be properly packed.
