Rare and Authentic, Handmade Large Thai Temple Bell; Heavy cast bronze and brass metal with embossed elephant. Unique, ornate scroll design along top and base rim. Top handle is decorated with dragons.
Antique style and color of bronze brown. Color shades will vary and may not be exactly as shown in photo.
Elephant bell has very nice ringing tone from its thick bronze and brass clapper.

Large Thai temple bell with embossed elephants and Thai scroll design. It is solid cast bronze and very heavy. The bell was made to look like an old antique that has been weatd as the original Buddhist bells. This heavy meditation bell was hand forged in Thailand by bronze smiths. It was made as a cultural rendition of a ritual bell that is used in the Buddhist temples of many Asian countries. As a religious practice, t is usually a metal bell hanging at the entrance of most Thai temples. Many people will place this oriental bell in their own sacred space to enhance their spirituality and also use for meditation. The elephant design also is believed to bring good luck, especially since the trunk is up.
